There are numerous walking tours around the city including some wild and wacky options such as comedy walking tours. Just drop into the Tourist Information Centre to find out what's scheduled during your stay.

Any trip to Bath isn't complete without taking to the water - weather it's the spa waters, river or canal. There are numerous punting and boating options on the river as well as cruises along the Kennet & Avon Canal that head out into the neighbouring rural county of Wiltshire through the beautiful Limpley Stoke Valley.

If you're feeling active, and fancy seeing the breathtaking aqueducts and viaducts that mark out this valley, make use of the bicycle hire facility behind Bath Spa train station and head along the canal towpath towards Bradford on Avon. But be prepared, with plenty of watering holes on route, you might not get as far as you'd planned...
